Education statistics are of particular importance because they deal with the development of human capital, which is one of the key assets of Israel. These statistics rely, for a large part, on administrative sources. In this component the aim is to improve the registration of administrative data and their harmonization, and, if required, supplement these data with direct data collection, in the most efficient manner.

The expected results of component B are:

  • A detailed plan for better estimates of early school dropouts

  • New statistical indicators of higher education statistics.

  • A plan for development of adult education statistics and its integration into the Register of Educational Attainment.

  • A strategy for the development of statistical indicators on personnel and positions engaged in Research & Development.

  • A plan identifying statistical indicators on culture and sports.
