The ICBS is regularly improving the quality and efficiency of data collection in field surveys. Geo-spatial tools can improve and support field surveys from the early stage of sample design to the stage of dissemination. The overall goal of the component is to incorporate Geo-spatial tools in order to achieve optimization of field surveys. 

The expected results of component D are:

  •  The process of allocating the sampled units to interviewers will be optimized in order to balance workloads and travel time, thereby reducing the cost of carrying out the surveys.

  •  ​New tools and methods for identifying specific areas of under-coverage will be developed
