תקציר
This publication presents fertility estimates of Jewish women, and of Jewish and Other women, according to their level of religiosity. The estimates were calculated based on a combination of self-reports of women sampled in the Social Survey on their level of religiosity, and the fertility data of those women from the Population Register. The publication includes fertility estimates by level of religiosity for Jewish women for 1979–2019 and for Jewish and Other women for 1990–2019.
The fertility estimates calculated are the age-specific fertility rate, which is the number of live births of women at a certain age per every 1,000 women of the same age, and the total fertility rate, which is the average number of children a woman is expected to bear during her lifetime.
