The National Accounts describe the economy's activity both broadly and in detail, as well as describing the connections among the various economic factors, and the connections between the Israeli economy and abroad. The National Accounts system comprises consistent, integrated series of macro-economic accounts, including current accounts, balances, and tables based on internationally-accepted concepts and definitions, as well as on uniform classifications and accounting laws (SNA-2008). The system enables the tracking of Israel's economic development, macro-economic analysis, economic planning and prediction, and international comparisons. This topic presents the gross national product, which is the major indicator for economic activity; the composition of incomes and savings; and the changes in the prices and uses of the product. Also presented are the national balance and satellite accounts to the national accounts.
